Morningstar Pentecostal Church (MPC) is an Apostolic House where we strive to serve the body with excellence, passion and above all love through the power of our Savior Christ Jesus.
FAMILY IN FOCUS
One of the goals of MPC is to establish a place where family is celebrated, encouraged and strengthened through biblical principles. Family comes in many forms, and it is the first institution God set in place on earth, even before the church! It is for this reason we strive to keep the family in focus. Not every family has a "picture perfect" foundation; however it is the core unit around which a community is built.
We strive to establish new godly foundations of the family, and strengthen the unit through teaching, fellowship, prayer and heal the broken families through the love of God.
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK: Your Destiny in Jesus!
Scripture Reference: Philippians 1:6 - "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (KJV)."
Jesus had a pre-determined destiny for his life that would only be fulfilled in God’s time and through obedience. His life was set apart from his contemporaries for a specific purpose. Jesus was born to die. Christ’s death was destiny not only for him, but the world he came to save. He died to take on the sins of the world so the world could fulfill the destiny of life everlasting shared with the Father.
Like Christ, we as the Body of Christ are set on a specific course that we must finish. God has destined something for each of us that will last in eternity. We have our own destiny and we know through obedience Christ will bring it to pass.
Though it may seem imposing, destiny need not be feared or intimidating. Faith must begin to take an active role in our destiny. Destiny unravels when we seek God with our whole heart, obey the will of the Father, and trust that God will bring it to pass.
We cannot create our own destiny; we must let God guide us through the process of destiny. Like Christ was birthed by the Spirit of God, destiny must too be birthed by the Spirit of God. Neither man nor his spirit can bring us into our destiny. When Christ was driven into the wilderness by the spirit of God, it seemed like the fight of his life, but he was being birthed into his destiny.
When we are in the fight of our lives, we are stepping into our God given destiny!
